Chemical Peels

Reveal smoother, brighter, and rejuvenated skin with expert chemical peeling.

Chemical peels are a proven, safe, and effective way to exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate collagen production, and improve skin texture and tone. By applying a controlled chemical solution to the skin, we gently remove the outer damaged layers to reveal fresh, healthy skin beneath.

Perfect for a wide range of skin concerns, chemical peels can be customised to your skin type and goals for a radiant, youthful complexion.

What Chemical Peels Can Treat:

  • Dull, uneven skin tone and texture
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation and sun damage
  • Enlarged pores
  • Melasma and hormonal pigmentation
  • Rough or flaky skin
  • Mild scarring

How Chemical Peels Work

Chemical peels use a combination of acids and active ingredients such as:

  • Glycolic Acid (AHA): Great for exfoliation and brightening
  • Salicylic Acid (BHA): Oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid that deeply penetrates pores, ideal for oily and acne-prone skin
  • Lactic Acid (AHA): Gentle exfoliant suitable for sensitive skin
  • Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA): Medium-depth peel for more advanced skin renewal
  • Mandelic Acid (AHA): Gentler acid ideal for pigmentation and sensitive skin
  • Retinoid Peels: Use derivatives of vitamin A to accelerate skin cell turnover, improve texture, reduce fine lines, and treat acne

Each peel is selected based on your skin type, concerns, and tolerance, allowing for a tailored treatment plan.

Preparing for Your Chemical Peel

1–2 Weeks Before:
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning
  • Stop retinoids, exfoliating products, and waxing
  • Inform us of any recent skin treatments, medications, or allergies
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications if possible (consult your doctor)
On the Day:
  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
  • Avoid applying any skincare products before treatment

Aftercare & Recovery

Downtime varies depending on the peel depth, but generally:

Superficial Peels (including BHA and Retinoid):
  • Mild redness and dryness for 1–3 days
  • Slight flaking or peeling
Medium Peels:
  • Redness and swelling for up to 1 week
  • Peeling and crusting for 5–7 days
Deep Peels:

Significant redness, swelling, and peeling lasting up to 2 weeks (usually done under specialist supervision)

Post-Peel Care:
  • Keep skin moisturised and hydrated
  • Avoid sun exposure; use high SPF 50+ daily
  • Avoid makeup until peeling subsides
  • Do not pick or peel flaking skin to prevent scarring
  • Follow all aftercare instructions provided by your clinician

Results & Treatment Plan

Most clients see noticeable improvements after 1 treatment, but a course of 3–6 peels spaced 3–6 weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

Chemical peels stimulate collagen and skin renewal, with benefits continuing to improve over weeks following the procedure.

Safety & Side Effects

Chemical peels are safe when performed by trained professionals, but possible side effects include:

  • Temporary redness, irritation, or stinging
  • Flaking and peeling
  • Increased sensitivity to sunlight
  • Rare pigment changes (hyper- or hypopigmentation)

Not all peel types suit every skin tone or condition; a thorough consultation will ensure your treatment is safe and effective.
